SEMpdx or Search Engine Marketing Professionals of Portland, has organized SearchFest for four consecutive years, making it one of the premier Search Marketing events in the region.   SearchFest has won the top spot on  TMMPDX’s Top 10 Marketing Events chart for March. Featuring eleven presentations and forty speakers, this year’s SearchFest is the most comprehensive to date.  Topics include Social Media Marketing, Advanced Search Engine Optimization, Local Search, Analytics and Paid Search Marketing.

Stefan Wietz, Director at Bing Search, will give the keynote address.  Stefan will discuss the behavior of search engine users and how it impacts and dictates shifts in marketers’ strategies.  Today’s interaction with search tends to be more task-centric: users consult search engines to get something done in the real world rather than just browse information in cyberspace.
