Internet Marketing Conference at Portland State University December 2009

Following its successful debut in 2008, the Internet Marketing Conference at Portland State has quickly grown into one of the region’s most important events for business leaders and marketing professionals needing to stay up to speed with social media practices, internet sales, and digital marketing.  Four separate conference tracks, including eleven presentations and a site lab, keep the conference accessible and relevant to seasoned professionals as well as learners new to social media and online outreach.

Renny Gleeson, global director of interactive strategies at Wieden+Kennedy, and Brian Rhoads, digital strategist at Intel, will provide the conference’s keynote addresses. Other featured presenters include Aaron Gray (Greater Returns), Dennis Hahn (ID Branding), John Hartman (Feedia), Janet Lee Johnson (KC Distance Learning), Aaron Kahlow (OMS), John McPhee (Anvil Media), David Smith (McClenahan Bruer Communications), Justin Spohn (Fight), and Paul Wille (Swift Collective).

“This Internet Marketing Conference is the single best opportunity for Portland-area digital marketing professionals,” says Dennis Hahn, President ID Branding. “You’d have to go to San Francisco or New York to get anything like this.” Topics such as social media, mobile, search engine marketing (SEO), and analytics will be covered and strategies discussed through presentations, case studies and a site lab where experts will critique attendee websites.

The Internet Marketing Conference is being hosted and organized by the Multimedia Professional Program, which offers courses and certificates running throughout the year. The Multimedia Professional Program is part of the Professional Development Center in PSU’s School of Extended Studies.
