4) PSU Digital Marketing Breakfast: Staying Ahead of the Search Engine Marketing Curve- Tuesday February 16th, 7:15am – 9:00am

With Google’s search results changing on an almost daily basis, it’s more important than ever for businesses and marketers to develop a comprehensive strategy for their presence in the world’s most-used search engine. SEMpdx, Portland’s search engine marketing trade association, will moderate a panel on the different types of Google results that play into its “universal” algorithm, including Paid, Real-time, Social, and Local search. Free or low-cost tools that businesses can take advantage of in their marketing campaigns will be highlighted. Instructors from PSU’s Digital Marketing Strategies certificate program will participate in the panel. This quarterly event is open to students, businesses, and marketing practitioners who hope to better understand the role of search engine marketing in reaching customers.
