Social Media Awards Portland Oregon Accepting Nominations

The 2nd Annual SoMe Awards want to recognize outstanding social media campaigns and are currently accepting nominations. If  your company  or team members are located in the Pacific Northwest and have done outstanding work for clients using social media, then you should submit your campaign for consideration for a SoMe Award! The Submission deadline  is April 23rd.

This years categories and descriptions are explained below. Take a look and then simply submit your campaign for consideration.

Best Brand Awareness/User Engagement (over $25k) – The Sugar Daddy Award

Description: A social media marketing campaign whose stated goal is to raise brand or product awareness and increase consumer affinity toward the brand or product and whose budget surpassed $25,000 in 2009. Entries will be judged on whether the campaign increased awareness in the social media community or positive sentiment toward the brand.

Best Brand Awareness/User Engagement (under $25k) – The People Like Me Award

Description: A social media marketing campaign whose stated goal is to raise brand or product awareness and increase consumer affinity toward the brand or product and whose budget surpassed $500 in 2009. Entries will be judged on whether the campaign increased awareness in the social media community or positive sentiment toward the brand.

Best Brand Awareness/User Engagement (under $500) – The Scrappy & Engaged Award

Description: A social media marketing campaign whose stated goal is to raise brand or product awareness and increase consumer affinity toward the brand or product and whose budget was less than $500 in 2009. Entries will be judged on whether the campaign increased awareness in the social media community or positive sentiment toward the brand.

Best ROI (over $25k) – The Rich Get Richer Award

Description: A social media marketing campaign whose stated goal is to drive leads and/or sales and whose budget surpassed $25,000 in 2009. Entries will be judged on whether the campaign increased awareness in the social media community or positive sentiment toward the brand.

Best ROI (under $25k) – The Keep Your Job Award

Description: A social media marketing campaign whose stated goal is to drive leads and/or sales and whose budget surpassed $500 in 2009. Entries will be judged on whether the campaign increased awareness in the social media community or positive sentiment toward the brand.

Best ROI (under $500) – The Soon-to-Be Wealthy Award

Description: A social media marketing campaign whose stated goal is to drive leads and/or sales and whose budget was less than $500 in 2009. Entries will be judged on whether the campaign increased awareness in the social media community or positive sentiment toward the brand.

Best Social Media App – The Next Big Thing Award

Description: A social media marketing campaign utilizing a social media application (includes widgets, iPhone applications, Android applications, Facebook applications, Twitter applications, & Google Gears). Entries will be judged on the marketing impact, usability, scalability, and viral nature of the social media application.

Best Agency – The House Party Award

Description: A Northwest agency that has demonstrated a thorough understanding of social media and has utilized social media marketing to boost clients’ ROI and brand awareness in 2009. Entries will be judged on the cumulative efforts of the agency within social media.

People’s Choice Award

Description: Attendees of the SoMe awards will choose the People’s Choice Award based on votes cast during the awards show.

Best in Show

Description: The Best in Show Award will be chosen by the judges. All social media marketing campaigns are eligible for the Best in Show Award regardless of budget, scope, or objective.
